Bill Skepnek has practiced law for more than 45 years. A native of Chicago, he attended the University of Kansas on a football scholarship and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1978.

After law school, Bill spent eleven years at two of Oklahoma's largest law firms, focusing on civil commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense. He returned to Lawrence in 1989 and opened his own practice in 1996.

Bill is a Kansas attorney whose practice spans civil litigation, criminal defense, professional malpractice, and commercial disputes. He has tried hundreds of cases.

In recent years, Bill has represented clients in wrongful conviction matters, civil rights litigation, and claims against government actors.
